Futurist has over 30 years experience in designing and installing complete lighting and sound systems. We have gained an extensive knowledge from working on a variety of projects throughout the UK and worldwide; including school/college drama studios, multi-purpose halls, theatres, houses of worship and hotels.

A significant part of our business is production for concerts, theatres and schools. We apply the knowledge gained to design systems that work for our clients. Listening to and interpreting the needs of the client is crucial to all that we do and an installation is no exception. As a result Futurist has many loyal clients to whom we are happy to give ongoing support in the form of maintenance, hire equipment and consumable sales.

We like to work closely with architects and Building Consultants at the design stage of a project to ensure that new build encompass the technical facilities required in theatrical drama and dance spaces. Failure to address basic issues that are normally beyond the experience of others outside of the entertainment industry can result in expensive retrofitting or a performance space that does not fulfill its full potential.

Our system designs range from basic generic lighting rigs to complex state of the art sound, lighting & AV solutions. Sensitive to budget restraints, we can offer complete or partial upgrades to existing systems with a time frame to suit your budget.

Once an installation is complete, we offer a two year warranty on all equipment and fixtures, thereafter we can offer a planned service schedule to look after your technical equipment should a fault develop or the inevitable accident happen.

We also have a comprehensive workshop for the maintenance and repair of all equipment related to sound and lighting, i.e. dimmer packs, lanterns, speakers, amplifiers, mixing desks etc.
